Five-time winners Brazil bring down the curtain on their Group C campaign with a Miami meeting against familiar World Cup foes Scotland.

The match
After clashes with Haiti and Morocco, Scotland and Brazil conclude their FIFA World Cup 2026™ Group C campaign by renewing one of the most regular meetings in the history of the tournament – their fifth at the global showpiece.
Scotland thrilled the Tartan Army by opening with a 1-0 win against Haiti, but then were edged by the same scoreline against Morocco. Still, opportunity knocks to progress to the knockouts for the first time ever, but they must find a way to do it against Brazil. The five-time champions opened by drawing Morocco 1-1 and then kick-started their attack with a 3-0 victory over Haiti.
Scotland can reach the Round of 32 with a win and could even capture the group with a win and a Haiti result against Morocco, while victory assures Brazil a place in the knockouts, and possibly a first place finish in the group, depending on various scenarios.
The winners of Group C will progress to a Houston meeting with the Group F runners-up, while the second-placed side meet the winners of Group F in Monterrey. Should the third-placed team in Group C qualify as one of the eight best, they will meet either the Group A, Group E or Group I winners in Mexico City, Boston or New York New Jersey, respectively.

What they said…
“We can be very flexible with our system. We’re going to use a 5-3-2 or a 5-4-1. We’ve used it before. This time we’re going to focus on our defense. We’ll see what happens tomorrow. Obviously we started slow against Morocco which made for a long and difficult night. Hopefully we start a lot better against Brazil.” Steve Clarke, Scotland coach
“We are playing against a massive country, most iconic and decorated in the World Cup. But we want to achieve history for our little country and we have the opportunity to do that tomorrow night.” Andrew Robertson, Scotland player
