Timber, De Jong and Depay in, Frimpong out for Netherlands

The Netherlands had a strong showing in the UEFA qualifying for the FIFA World Cup, winning six of their eight games.

After three runners-up finishes, the Netherlands head to the FIFA World Cup 2026 hoping to find the answer to a lingering question: will this finally be their year?

With an unbeaten streak in the qualifying phase, the Netherlands punched their ticket to the global football showpiece in North America in style, scoring a whopping 27 goals across eight games.

Drawn in Group F alongside fellow European team Sweden, Asian heavyweights Japan and African side Tunisia, the Oranje face a challenging opening round.
