Norway were the best attacking side in the UEFA qualifying for the FIFA World Cup with a staggering 37 goals across eight matches.
Back on football’s grandest stage after a 28-year absence, Norway head to the FIFA World Cup 2026 as one of Europe’s in-form sides, buoyed by a promising ‘golden generation’.
With a perfect record in the UEFA qualifying phase, featuring eight wins in as many games and the most goals (37) scored, Norway gave a clear warning of their calibre to their opponents.
While the Norwegians are tipped for a deep run in North America, it will not come easily, as they find themselves in an interesting Group I alongside two-time world champions France, African heavyweights Senegal, and Iraq.
