In six previous appearances at the FIFA World Cup, Tunisia have not advanced beyond the group stage. Can the Eagles of Carthage change that in 2026?
Cameroon and Morocco are the only African nations to have made more FIFA World Cup appearances than Tunisia.
While Cameroon became the first African football team to reach the quarter-finals and Morocco the first to advance to the semi-finals, Tunisia are still searching for a first appearance in the knockout rounds.
It is a record the Eagles of Carthage will hope to change at the 2026 FIFA World Cup in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
The tournament will mark Tunisia’s seventh World Cup appearance, but the North Africans face a difficult challenge after being drawn in Group F alongside Sweden, Japan and Netherlands.
