The match

Turkey’s journey in the FIFA World Cup 2026™ will come to an end in their group finale with co-hosts USA after suffering a 2-0 loss to Australia and 1-0 defeat to Paraguay. They will look to finish on a high note against the Americans, who have already clinched first place in the group thanks to a 4-1 triumph over Paraguay and a 2-0 win against Australia. It will be the first World Cup meeting between the two nations.

As the winner of Group D, USA will meet a third-place team from Group B, E, F, I or J at San Francisco Bay Area Stadium on 1 July.

Los Angeles Stadium is the newest venue chosen to host FIFA World Cup 2026, having opened in September 2020. It is situated just a 30-minute drive from Pasadena’s famous Rose Bowl, which hosted the World Cup final of 1994. Both the Los Angeles Rams and Los Angeles Chargers play their NFL fixtures at the venue, which also hosted Super Bowl LVI as the Rams defeated the Cincinnati Bengals 23-20 in 2022. Los Angeles Stadium has already hosted a number of concerts under its iconic and unique roof, with Taylor Swift, BTS and Ed Sheeran among the artists to have graced the venue.
