Saudi Arabia pulled off one of the biggest surprises of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ when they rallied to defeat eventual champions Argentina, 2-1, in their opening match. They will be looking to achieve the same result against another South American powerhouse in the form of Uruguay. With Herve Renard back at the helm, Saudi Arabia finished atop Group B in the fourth round of AFC qualifying to reach their third successive global finals. Meanwhile, veteran coach Marcelo Bielsa guided Uruguay to a fourth-place finish in the CONMEBOL qualifiers for a fifth consecutive berth.
